Tuesday 30th October 2018
Cold but mostly dull and overcast.
Stayed local today enjoying a walk around Crag Farm near Adel. Amazing improvements made since my last visit with more scrapes created with heavy planting with the addition of two hides. Sadly due to a severe lack of rain the scrapes were looking no more than puddles. The future looking good however.

Cold and sunny day. Hard frost in Yorkshire, first morning of having to de-ice the windscreen.
A superb day out in the Dales. Wharfedale today. Morning coffee at the Strid. Being such a beautiful day meant the area was heaving with walkers. Never seen this area so busy. The river wharfe was the lowest water level I have ever seen whether it be summer or winter. Children were actually walking across the river. Tree colours were magnificent making for brilliant reflections in the river.
Moved on to the village of Linton and lunch at the Fountain's Inn. A pub we have eaten at on numerous occasions over the years. Enjoyed a walk after lunch before making our way back home via Burnsall one of my favourite area of the Dales. Over the years this is another area we have enjoyed some very long walks.

Sunday 28th October 2018
Another cold and sunny day.
A visit today to Nidderdale one of my favourite areas of Yorkshire. Spent time at Brimham Rocks, last time visited this spot was 1969. Have taken comparative photographs.
Brimham Rocks is an area of rock formation that has been gradually eroded by wind, rain and ice over the last 320 million years.
