A warm sunny day until late afternoon and evening when it turned cold and wet.
Didn't enjoy today, Doctor early am, Punctured Tyre required replacing and pm spent coating the new outdoor furniture with Teak Oil (completely spoilt by the rain). Hope tomorrow is better!

Monday 6th August 2012

A lovely Sunny morning, spoilt by a very wet afternoon.
Spent morning at Mum's cutting lawn and general weeding. Mum is a real worry now as so weak. Can't believe how much worse she is from last week. Will be visiting Nursing/Care Homes in the Woodley area tomorrow to see what is available.
               Have trouble with Rats again, have found the run from next door where there is a lot of rubbish. Another job tomorrow will be informing them of the problem. I may also have to stop feeding the Birds for a while as the dropped food is what the Rats are after.

Sunday 5th August 2012

Mixed weather today, thunderstorms, wet, sunny, windy. You name it we experianced it! This was the weather in Oxford where we spent the day walking at Otmoor Nature Reserve at Beckley. On arriving home at 6pm it looked as though the weather conditions were better, no sihn of rain.
Despite the weather conditions we did enjoy the walk at Otmoor with Steve and Cath who live near by.
I used to work with Steve at ALTW, some two years ago Steve was introduced to Bird Watching by a friend of his and he has been hooked ever since. Steve spends all his spare time studying Bird reference books and now is expanding his knowledge on Wildlife by introducing Plants, Trees and Shrubs in his large garden which at the moment is somewhat overgrown through years of neglect.
All pictures taken on the Nature Reserve, due to weather conditions I was not able to expand on the number of pictures taken.

Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August 2012

Two warm dry days which allowed me to complete the shredding and tidy up where the Neighbs are replacing the fence. Although this was unexpected it is a bonus for me as it will allow me to re-develope that part of the garden. Paul has given me the Pond they had which I will use in this part of the Wildlife Garden.

Was good to see Doug and Anna last night, had a bit of a 'catch up' over a drink and a 'topd' dinner prepared by Lorna. Have been set a challenge to design/produce a Childs Swing for next Spring when Baby Doddy should be ready for such adventures!

Was up early today for a walk at Fobney, not walked half a mile when the heavens opened, dressed only in a tshirt I was soaked and only managed one picture of the young Black Headed Gull.  All other pictures are of Moths over two nights caught in the Moth Trap.

A good warm, dry day despite the forecast suggesting showers.
Whole day spent shredding, almost there now. A lot to still tidy up however.

Wednesday 1st August 2012

A good warm day, made the most of it as rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
A  little more shredding but most of the day spent in Town trying to sort out the Cooker Door issue. D.E.S  Cooker Spare Parts Shop is no longer, back to plan C  by trying to Google the spare part.
Bought a Photograph Album for my Flotilla Pictures as SnapFish failed to deliver.  Created the Album tonight, looks good.

Summer Weather has returned, warm but with showers most of the day.
Day spent (between showers) shredding the branches from the Yew and Willow Trees. Probably another two days to finish the job.
With working at the bottom end of the garden I have missed any Bird action elsewhere in the garden.
Did notice Fox Tunel activity under the decking at the side of the Studio. This lines up now with the hole dug under the fence.
