Dry, chilly day with the most brilliant of sunsets.

Not one of my better days - Collected Mothers Death Certificate.
                                           Copy to Solicitor and Funeral Director.
                                           Chose Family Flowers.
                                           Arranged for final Bungalow Clearance.

Tuesday 5th February 2013

Very cold, dry day.
Day spent lopping branches from front Acer Tree, log pile created in The Woodland Walk area of the garden.
Male Sparrowhawk paid us another visit lunchtime, for some time just sat on the top bird feeder before resting on a deck post for a few minutes.

Monday 4th February 2013

Another dry but a little chilly day.
Met Funeral Director during the morning after collecting the Death Certificate from the Hospital.
Unable to register until Wednesday, appointment only.

Flowers sent from the Care Home that looked after Mum. We have asked for Family Flowers only at the Funeral with donations to the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.

Cold, dry day.

Day spent clearing out the Loft ready for British Gas who will be installing Loft Insulation soonish.

What a job, with the rooms built into the roof the only way of moving around the roof space is by crawling. Not my idea of fun, not as nimble as I was!

What a contrast to the last few days.

Spent morning at St Pauls Cathedral before heading back to Paddington for trip home after a very exciting, informative few days.

After an early morning shower the day ended up being dry, cold and windy.
Enjoyed a morning at the opening of The View at The Shard. The Shard is now the tallest building in Europe clad entirely in Glass. A remarkable building allowing incredible views of London and beyond.
From the start I have taken an interest in the construction of this building taking photographs over the last two years showing progress.
Afternoon spent at The Tower of London, although interested in History I sadly do not have a brain that allows me to remember dates!

Dry, cold and very windy.

Arrived in London late morning, hotel overlooking Tower of London. Enjoyed Pie & Chips watered down with a pint of Chiswick Bitter before meeting Jackie at the Natural History Museum.
Enjoyed two hours looking around the BBC Wildlife Photography Competition before a three hour visit to the DNA Labs' that Jackie controls. I was lost for words, the work involved in collecting this information was quite frankly, amazing. I was indebted to Jackie for finding the time not only to explain but to take us 'behind the scenes'.
Meeting Justin and enjoying an Argentinian Steak Dinner finished the day well good!
