My goodness, experienced the rail end of Storm Henry today. Wind was actually deafening. Very mild with a little in today. Another mixed up day, so many spring flowers out it is ridiculous. The crocus and dwarf iris border look stunning.
Spent day on the alpine house project, looking good but a long way to go. Require a few hundred more bottles yet to finish the project. Planted six alpine plants as I increased height of the bottled wall.
         The bird count was amazing, did 30 mins from the conservatory and 30 mins from the hide. What some surprises. The blackcap and goldcrest made an appearance and from the hide also spotted the sparrows. Didn't think they could be feeding that end of the garden so pretty pleased with the total count.
