Monday 14th May 2018

Hot day.
Day spent on the Isle of May, hoping to see something of the puffin breeding season. Ninety one thousand puffins descended on the Island in March but sadly this coincided with dreadful weather conditions resulting in late breeding. The puffins have still to lay eggs so well behind this year. Did see hundreds flying about the coast but hard to believe this, only one on land. I was disappointed but of course there were plenty of other wildlife on the Island to admire.
Arrived back at Anstruther 5pm, a short drive then to Crail golf club for an evening dinner. This finished the day off nicely.
Tomorrow a round of golf is booked at St. Andrews.
