Monday 23rd July 2018

Very hot and sunny, apparently hottest day ever?
Was given the ok by the police and insurance company to enter the sheds and hide to assess damage and list stolen items.
Needless to say not a pretty sight. Only one camera working, even the pond camera is deemed inoperative. Seven cables cut as yanked out of the monitor. Bizarrely the monitor was left behind.
The steel security floor cupboard is wrecked and all power tools stolen. I could go on, I have to move on, carry out repairs and liaise with the insurance company.

There is some wildlife news in all of this upset.
Flocks of silver Y moths out each night on the abelia shrub. More moths in the moth trap of a night. Although I haven't seen, clearly there has been dragonfly activity with empty cases on the pond grass.
