Can the weather get any worse, rain all day. Despite the dreadful conditions I spent all day working on the last phase of the Decking Project. I was soaked, hope for an improvement tomorrow so I can fix the Deck' Boards.
The first fruit of the season has appeared, a Fig. Hope for more next year!
To be fair I didn't expect fruit this year as only planted in November.
Watched an astonishing fight between three Goldfinches this afternoon in heavy rain. The fight started on the Sunflower Feeder and spread to the last remaining branch left of the Judas Tree. Two eventually flew away leaving one stunned Finch that took a few minutes to adjust itself!

Mild with heavy showers, no chance of any work outside.
With the weather bad I spent time at Hobby Craft buying Frames for 5 of the best Flotilla Photographs.
Have set the Trail Camera outside the Hedghog Apartment tonight. Food is going but no sign of Hog on the internal camera, my guess a Mouse.
One of the Bug Houses has also been ripped apart so again guessing a Mouse.
Despite the wet the Bees were busy today on the Foxgloves and Poppies that have opened in the last couple of days.
Have noticed a Fig on the Tree we only bought in the Autumn, what a result!
Hopefully if weather improves tomorrow I may be able to use the Camera!

Not much doing today, still coming to terms with being home!

After a good cooked breakfast and saying our goodbye's we left the Hotel after a truly memorable weekend.
Once home we spent the rest of day looking at the photographs on the TV reading all the souvenir programmes.

Cold, windy, drizzle (heavy rain late afternoon) miserable day, but did not dampen the spirit of the occasion.
It was a mind blowing once in a lifetime experiance and so grateful was given the chance to be part of the Flotilla. As have explained before we celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary on the Spirit Of Chartwell in May 2011.
The day started when we arrived at the O2 at 9am for security checks before boarding the Clipper Meteor at 12.00.
Sailed to Battersea Power Station to moor waiting for the Queen to pass before we found our place in the Flotilla. We followed to Tower Bridge where we then gave a toast to the Queen on the Spirit of Chartwell before we sailed back to the O2 ready for the trip back to the Hotel arriving for evening dinner at 8.30pm.
A memorable day.

Bit of a surprise but a very warm day.
Day spent in Windsor, morning at St.Georges Chapel and State Apartments. Last visited as a 15 year old! In that time of course there was the fire in St.Georges Hall which has been completely renovated. The workmanship is astonishing.
Afternoon a little more relaxing with afternoon tea in Alexandra Park with a ride on the Wheel giving wonderful views over Windsor.
Enjoyed another good evening with David and Daphnie discussing how Farming methods have changed in the last 60 years!

Dry, mild day.
Spent morning watering all the Baskets, Pots and Greenhouses Plants and filling all Bird Feeders to cover the three days we are away.
Once done spent rest of morning packing case ready for the break to Commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.
Met the Tour Manager at the Holiday Inn, High Wycombe at 5pm. During afternoon Tea/Cakes we were informed of the weekends instructions.
During Dinner met David and Daphnie who were Farmers from Suffolk. With my Father having been a Farmer and me being brought up on a Farm we had so much in common.
After a few pints of NQB it was time for bed so we were fresh faced for tomorrow's trip to Windsor.
