Very hot day.
Enjoyed an early morning walk to Southcote along the Kennet & Avon Canal. Grrrrr at the car park entrance to Fobney Lock. Lorry loads of dumped rubbish.
Delivered the two birthday cakes to Anne and Richard during the morning. A cake for Edward's 4th and one for Richard's 70th. Lorna did a great job making the cakes very personal.
In the afternoon joined Richard's Family for a Birthday Party with Edward sharing the celebrations. A good afternoon/evening although a little hot.

Another hot day spent on the Baskets and Pots. Hopefully will finish tomorrow. Good to see the end result and look forward now to the colour in about a month.

Another hot day spent on the hanging baskets. Two hours each night watering now, am filling Butts with washing up water so leaving the Well as the last resort.
Good result with the Moth Trap these warm evenings, not very good at indentifying however, may have to invest in another Moth book.

Day spent filling more Baskets. Not much water left in the Butts now. Will be using the Well by the weekend.
Rather a heavy night, met JoLo, David and Chris in Town for a catch up. Jo from Bradford worked closely with me on Housing projects. Chris is the Regional Manager for Jeld-Wen and David is Managing Director of Primer Mould. Over the years built up a brilliant working relationship. Meal at Lock Fyne then drinks at the Allied Arms untill kicked out then Purple Turtle untill the early hours. 6 pints and bed at 4.30am I was still at the papershop at 8.30am!

Day spent filling Hanging Baskets, quarter way through now, hopefully will finish over the weekend.
Had a good result from the Moth Trap last night, nothing special but good to see non the less. Will continue to set during this warm spell.
No sign of the White Bat, certainly a few Bats about but not White.

A very warm day with temp' reaching 26c mid afternoon in the shade. In the sun was showing 32c.
Large part of the day spent filling the Hanging Baskets. Managed to get six completed. Have 30 Pots and Baskets to fill.
Garden Furniture arrived today, brilliant service. Looks good, can't wait to complete the project now.
Today was the last day at Rotton Green, have enjoyed looking after the Cat's and will miss them. Lulu and Clive arrived home at 8pm tonight, pretty tired after a very long trip. Over a 1000 pictures to look at now!

Most of the day spent at Rotten Green giving the Cottage a clean after three weeks of the Cat's taking over! Lulu & Clive due back very late tomorrow night.
Late this afternoon released the four Painted Lady Butterflies, the fifth hatched this evening so will release this one in a couple of days. Has been brilliant to watch over the two weeks, will certainly give it another go sometime.
