Wednesday 16th May
Hot day.
Departed Crail at 10am and arrived in Knutsford for an overnight stop.
The Lake District just looked sublime today with such clear sunny conditions.

Hot day.
Enjoyed a good round of golf this morning at The Links. Just the one stick and ball, no tee! It is a golfing area for complete novices to practice the art or just have fun. When Lorna managed to land the ball in the car park some two miles away I soon realised this was going to be for fun only!
We did take it seriously actually and Lorna did improve!
Stopped at the Farmont golf club for lunch, beautiful outlook with gorse in full bloom against the sea as a backdrop.
Late afternoon I went for another walk along the coast to Crail Harbour. Finished the day nicely.
Tomorrow I understand it is time to head for home.

Hot day.
Day spent on the Isle of May, hoping to see something of the puffin breeding season. Ninety one thousand puffins descended on the Island in March but sadly this coincided with dreadful weather conditions resulting in late breeding. The puffins have still to lay eggs so well behind this year. Did see hundreds flying about the coast but hard to believe this, only one on land. I was disappointed but of course there were plenty of other wildlife on the Island to admire.
Arrived back at Anstruther 5pm, a short drive then to Crail golf club for an evening dinner. This finished the day off nicely.
Tomorrow a round of golf is booked at St. Andrews.

Hot day.
A good day was spent at The Links golf course at St. Andrews, good walk along the coast before a good dinner of haggis and trimmings washed down with a pint or two of St. Andrews Ale. Holidays don't get better than this?
Late this afternoon after arriving home I enjoyed a walk along the coast to Crail Harbour, a walk I have enjoyed over many years.
Tomorrow we are booked on the ferry for the sailing to the Isle of May.
