Wednesday 7th May 2014

A pretty good day, mix of sun, wind and overcast sky.
As you all know by now, Wednesday is Morrison's shop day. Not my idea of fun but has to be done.
Sat in the garden watching the Starlings and Blue Tits from the outside as opposed to the monitors. Amazes me how the Blue Tit manages to fit through such a small opening.
Sadly, no sign of Swifts yet. So close but so far. Will be playing the CD over the weekend me thinks.
Great picts' of the Baby Squirrels and Foxy from the trail camera. Also picked up a Mouse and various Birds drinking from the Squirrel bowl.
Noticed a fresh hole in the wood pile and signs of life in the Hedgehog home I created under a compost heap. A role for the trail camera to confirm what is about these areas. Camera set tonight on the wood pile.
Hotel booked at Rutland Water to celebrate Lorna's birthday later in year with her Sister and hubs. Chance to visit Barnsdale Gardens (remember Geoff Hamilton?), a Stately Home and a visit to the Osprey nesting site. Will be a good weekend.
