Most of the day spent at the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The Castle of course dominates the coastline including the ruins of Lindisfarne Priory. I had no idea the Holy Island was like this. Thought the causeway led you directly to the castle, had not appreciated how large Lindisfarne was. Did not want to leave, aside from the Castle and Island I just loved the coastline with Dolphins and Seals playing nearby in the strong morning sun. Managed some reasonable photographs.
Time late afternoon to visit Bamburgh Castle. Castle was good but I was more interested in the three Swallows being fed.
