Saturday 15th November 2014

A mild, dry and sunny day. A perfect autumn day, ideal for a farm visit.
Phil, Emma and the boys joined us for a drink in the Leaping Frog to catch up on news before moving on to Lockey Farm.
I introduced Alec and Callum to the I Spy books. Both being interested in wildlife it was appropriate to to give them the Garden Wildlife & Wildflowers Spy books. Keep me posted boys on results.
With the recent rain Lockey Farm was a tad muddy, ideal conditions for growing boys who love puddles and of course the Pigs just love mud?
Was a great day with the Williams family, look forward to the next visit sometime in the Spring.
Disappointingly the trail cameras only showed cats during the two weeks we were away. The Mouse did show up a few times but sadly no sign of the Hedgehog. Could well be hibernating now of course.
Great Tit showed up in the box at 10am staying just 5 minutes but returned again at 4.30pm for its evening/night roost.
The Mouse cam has stopped working so must look at this tomorrow. No sign of chewed cable so unsure at the moment.
