Monday 7th December 2015

Not seasonal weather but was good for it to be so mild, sunny, no wind and blue skies. Nice.
A good day therefore to sweep up the remaining leaves from the front garden acer tree. Have never swept up so much before, tree is clearly still growing.
Not sure how long the wild part of the garden will stay tidy, next load of wind and leaves will be everywhere?
Also tidied up the alphine and wallflower borders as this area was covered in leaves from the silver birch tree.
Heron was about again today, did not stay long as the gulls were all fisty cufts. The noise they make is deafening, not a squeek out of the heron.
Missed a photograph opportunity when a blackbird and great spotted had a spat. something not seen before. All over who should get to the fat ball first.
During the afternoon I spent a while at the new M4 bridge as the viewing platform was being dismantled. Only me and a Wokingham Times photographer seemed to use it. Looking at it now I still can't believe how the cranes completed the task despite being there watching.
Picture 1 - Heron on the bandstand roof.

"  3 - 6 - Woodland area of the garden now covered in a healthy layer of leaves.
