Swift call connected and here they are, really good to see the swifts streaming down the side of the house this morning. I wonder, will they actually enter the box this year?
Yvonne and Iain arrived at lunchtime for the weekend stay. Good to entertain outside on such a warm day. This afternoon I introduced the visitors to Fobney. Enjoyed a good walk to Southcote Mill, on the return walk it was just suburb to watch the swifts skimming the water in the main lake for a drink. A wonderful end to the walk.
Tonight enjoyed a good meal and drink at the New Inn. Should add that we met Yvonne and Iain on the Azores last year when on the eclipse cruise. Shared photographs tonight and talked loads about that wonderful cruise.
Yvonne has requested her interest in pond dipping tomorrow so fingers crossed we see something of interest as a memory of her visit with us.
