Thursday 13th February 2014

A beautiful, chilly, sunny February day with yes, NO RAIN!
It was sad to see the Ash Tree being cut down but feel in the circumstances a good compromise has been achieved. Wildlife aside the tree was becoming an issue with three neighbours and it was only before time action had to be taken.
Left at 11am for a few days break in London. Despite flooding at Maidenhead we were only 20 minutes late arriving at Paddington. A short cab trip to the hotel in Fulham and we were happy to be back in London. A little rest and then another cab trip to the Shard for afternoon tea. What an atmosphere, stuck for words. It was amazzzzzzing. Good sunset (not the best) and on such a clear night it was superb to watch the lights over London unfold.
The champagne tea was awesome. What an atmosphere. All I will say is, if given the chance it is a must do place.
The drive back to the hotel along the embankment early evening just finished the day in what has been a truly brilliant day.
