To celebrate Lorna's special birthday we are staying at the Finch's Arms, Hambleton with Margaret and Paul for a few days. Arranged to meet at Barnsdale Gardens 12.30.
Arrived at Barnsdale 11.45am waiting only a few minutes before Margaret & Paul arrived.
Enjoyed a light lunch before spending the whole afternoon walking around the 39 gardens Geoff Hamilton created during the eighties for his BBC2 Gardening progs'.
A little hot for walking but so pleased we visited, a well managed garden with most of the plots just as we remembered all those years ago. Well done Geoff.
Arrived at the Finch's late afternoon. A quick shower then down for a pre-dinner pint of local ale.
