Sunday 12th June 2016

Very warm but spoilt by showers.
Still not the rain that was forecast hence not visiting the local Steam Fair, wish I had gone now. Bit of a lightweight today.
Ideal day actually for digging up more bluebells. Another day should do it. It is a back breaking job. Am amazed at the number of bulbs being dug up, will look good however in their new surroundings.
Have started planning my next project for Spring 2017. Fruit cage and plants being removed (not worth the effort for two gooseberries a year) and replaced with a lawn and wildflower border which in turn will link in with the alpine house and sedum igloo. Bring it on!
Although not my favourite of plants I must say Lorna's rose border is looking splendid this year. Vivid colours and lots of flowers making for a wonderful display.
Pictures 1 - 6 - Roses.
"           7 - Splish Splash in memory of my dear cousin Ian.
"           8 - Yellow Brimstone moth in the trap last night.
"           9 - Beetle on the decking table this morning.
       "         10 - Well camouflaged.
       "         11 - Poppy and Bee.
