Monday 11th July 2016

A very warm and sunny day. Tad breezy, an ok day.
A good morning spent at the Whitley Community Museum helping with the JMA Students on the Mural, a task they have been set to depict life in Whitley. Once draft has been approved this will then be painted on the long corridor wall. Exciting stuff and pleased I was asked to get involved.
Also further discussed the impending walk I am organising to include afternoon tea on the tea barge. Been so well received we could be on two or three trips with this.
On walk back home who should I bump into but an old mate last saw 18 years ago. George (David) Fuller. Great to talk and catch up on 18 years of gossip!
Back home and what a welcome, swifts. Nice.
Rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning and staining four garden chairs.
Picture 1 - Male great spotted.
"     2 - Gatekeeper butterfly in the conservatory.
"     3 - Chaffer on an ornamental thistle.
  "   4 - 8 - JMA Students.
  "        9 - Before and after - garden chairs.
