Snow stopped at 11am, I had already cleared the car making it safe to drive so said our goodbyes and off we toodled for the drive over the Dales to the Lake District. It was music to my ears, have always wanted to experience the Dales in snow conditions. Did not disappoint, Dentdale was just so good I did not want to leave. Stopped in Dent for a welcome lunch at the Sun, a pub we have visited many times over the years.
From here over to the Lakes the snow cleared but plenty on the hills making for great reflections in the Lakes.
Arrived at The Travellers Rest late afternoon for the three day break, going to be good if weather holds?
