Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2012

Summer returned giving us a wet, cold, dull day. Sun did come out late afternoon making for a rather pleasant evening.
Swept up the Cherry Blossom and staked the Greenhouse Tomato Plants. Also managed to fix six deck boards between showers.
Robin's very busy feeding young which appear to be nesting two doors away. Feeding on Sunflower Hearts.
Waiting now for the young Jay's and Woodpecker's. Not had sighting of the Swifts for a couple of days so not sure where we are with this?
Painted Ladies big enough to be moved so this was dulu carried out this afternoon. Now settled in the Observatory. After 24 hours I will start feeding them with a Sugar mix and Nectar producing Flowers and Leaves.
Picture 1 - Cherry Blossom swept up for another year.
"     2 - Butterflies housed in the Observatory.
     "     3 -         " ( Close Up )                   "
Pictures 4 & 5 - Bluebells been a picture this year.

  1. Considering the painted lady caterpillars are now chrysalises, they wont be feeding or moving at all for about ten days. Then they'll emerge as imagos.
