A wee bit chilly adding to the atmosphere of the Christmas Panto'!
For a couple of hours this morning I raked up the Ivy from when I cut the Ivy hedge a couple of weeks ago. Now in the roughage compost bin where it will stay for about two years when hopefully, it will be well rotted.
Arrived at the Joneses at mid-day for hot soup before we hit the road for Newbury Bottom and the Panto. Oh yes we did! Good to see Julie & Darren enjoying ones self!!
Another brilliant production, this year, Jack and the Beanstalk, just loved Daisy the Cow! Look forward now to next year and Aladdin.
After Panto' enjoyed a walk along the Canal spending time at the Victorian Christmas Market. Over the years I have visited Germany, Bath, Lincoln and Chester Christmas Markets, Newbury beats them all both for standard of goodies for sale and atmosphere.
Ended day with burger & chips at Darren's local. Oh, and a pint of course!
Getting home not so good however, M4 at a standstill near J11. Berkshire Radio announced the motorway was closed in both directions due to an accident so there we sat for over an hour. Once moving we were soon home to see Police vehicles stationed at intervals along Basingstoke Road, strange?
Picture is of Daisy the Cow who had centre stage at the Panto'.
