Monday 13th October 2014

What a wet and miserable day. Awful in fact.
Had arranged a walk and lunch with Ian and Savitri at the Cunning Man. Tow-Path not conducive for a walk and anyway it was raining.
A Pie and a pint of Doombar soon cheered us up. Wine of course for the Ladies! 
                Rest of the day spent sitting in the Observatory, observing? A pair of Jays and a pair of Magpies fought all afternoon over the monkey nuts. Sometimes it is good to just sit and observe.
The migrant Blackbird also spent time in the garden but was chased every time the bird appeared.
