Monday 6th October 2014
What a contrast in weather conditions. Although mild it drizzled all day, 7mm recorded. Brief moment of sun late afternoon which highlighted the colours of the trees brilliantly.
Boy, dont you appreciate being outside when you have had to spend a day indoors?
Have to say it was pretty good sitting in the Observatory observing the birds on the feeder. Manic today, never seen so many Greenfinches. Two Jays were competing for monkey nuts with the Magpie population. A Blackbird appeared with a black beak, looked odd and was not appreciated by the resident Blackbirds.
Good to see a Chiffchaff, thanks to Boyo for identifying for me.
