Saturday 11th October 2014
After a very early morning shower the day turned out very warm and sunny.
Day spent in town for the opening of the Art and Nature exhibition at Reading Museum. Just loved the exhibition. The technique used to create such wonderful paintings is just brilliant. A book produced to accompany the exhibition was co written by a Martin Andrews. Now Martin was a student at Reading University during the time I worked there in the late 60s. We shared the same interests and a bond developed, we were friends for many years with Lorna in fact typing Martin's dissertation in the early 70s. We somehow drifted apart and had not seen or spoken to Martin until today. It was hugs all round, quite an emotional moment actually. Are keeping in touch now.
Just sometimes a photograph of mine creates excitement with some of the wildlife forums I am connected with. Well, I did not expect the response I received this week on my photograph of the singing Greenfinch. Made me feel pretty good.
Pictures 1 - 4 - Sky tonight over 479. Captured from the same position over two minutes.
" 5 - Pumpkin Ale, who'd of thought it?
