Friday 6th March 2015
Another warm, sunny spring day with temp' reaching 15c this afternoon.
We were out all day yesterday, on checking the garden on our return it was strange to see a large branch from the leilandi tree broken and also noticing fence panels down in neighbours gardens. I jokingly said a tornado had hit Whitley while we were out. What a surprise I had on checking the trail camera this morning, was it a tornado?
Good day in the garden pruning the last of last years dead wood from fuschas etc. Also thought would empty the wormery as last emptied was three years ago. My word, absolutely full. Big job now which will take a couple of days. Well done worms.
Good to see so many Ladybirds and Bees about today, hello spring. Spawk also paid us a visit but didn't stay today, just managed a photograph.
Two Starlings roosting tonight. Adult and young Mouse also out in the wood stack tonight caught on camera by critter cam.
During the afternoon a Blue Tit popped into last years nest box for a few minutes. All looking good for some good results this year.
