Wednesday 6th January 2016

Hard to believe but it didn't rain today. Not much sun but still mild with temp' today reaching 10c this afternoon.
Spent whole day on the desk top searching through photographs for the book project. So far have just over 400 photographs in the folder. Going to be difficult to consolidate down to just 40.
The missing hedgehog food bowls has become a bigger mystery. Replaced the bowls last night and today all missing again. My next plan of action is to place my three trail cameras around just one habitat, primed on different settings so hopefully will get a result?
On this afternoons garden walk I was aware of  rustling under the Lelandi trees. It was a squirrel that was rolling a large dried Acer leaf before placing in its mouth and then running up the tree. Is it producing a drey? A squirrel had already taken sticks into a nest box and been seen climbing in and out of the dovecot roof space. Are they looking for the best spot to build I wonder?
