Sunday 13th August 2017

Warm and sunny day, bootiful.
Started the day with an early morning walk at Fobney. Just stunning despite the wild flowers now going over. Not much in the way of wildlife seen but did see the resident heron.
Day relaxing in the garden. Dead heading, watering plants in the alpine house, re-staking the sunflowers, digging up bluebells and transplanting and taking more cuttings of various shrubs.
Not so many birds about at the moment but plenty of butterflies, moths and insects. The abelia shrub a massive hit this year attracting all manner of bee and butterfly life.
Good to see a hummingbird hawk moth today also on the abelia shrub.
