Thursday 17th August 2017

A very warm and sunny day, just how I like it.
Despite spending most of the day packing ready for the holiday I still managed to see an abundance of garden wildlife.
Started this morning at 8am watching another southern hawker emerging from its lava. Amazing to watch. At 3pm wings were outstretched and drying in the sun. At 6pm it was still hanging on in there but being buffeted by strong wind.
Spoilt for choice on butterflies, gatekeeper, red admiral, small white, speckled wood and a holly blue. Love days like today.
Hedgehogs and fox cubs out again but sadly no images.
