Thursday 10th August 2017
A much improved day, warm and sunny all day.
Sun makes all the difference, butterflies and bees aplenty today. Chuffed to bite to have photographed a holly blue a moment ago on the abelia shrub. All manner of insects and butterflies just love this shrub.
Good to see two hedgehogs together last night, does mean there are actually three hedgehogs in the garden.
Today I prepared the newly laid turfed lawn (late Spring) and sowed lawn seed. Hopefully the fox cubs will leave this area alone now. The attraction of lifting the turf each night has I hope diminished?

Thanks Boyo for advice on the holly blue butterfly.
