Tuesday 15th August 2017

Very warm and sunny all day and well into the evening.
Good activity in the garden with bees, insects, butterflies and moths.
Although no pond activity today that I saw, it was however a surprise tonight to be sitting in the observatory and spotting a southern hawker on the burberis shrub. Managed a decent photograph.
Have teething issues with the new trail camera, not sure what the problem is. Images are somewhere in my system but not a clue where? Managed to find a few from yesterday which were of superb quality but nothing to show for today.

Images 1 & 2 - Moths from last nights moth trap. Were more but duplicates on previous       ev                             evenings.
"             3 - Mint moth on the mint herb.
     "             4 - Harvester spider on a honeysuckle leaf.
     "             5 - Moth on a garden stake.
     "             6 - A white butterfly in a hanging basket.
