Friday 1st June 2018

Very warm and sunny day.
Household chores today as visitors over for dinner tonight. I don't do chores that well!
No moths in the trap but even more red tailed bees. Did see and photographed a garden curtain moth and mint moth this afternoon.
Male great spotted woodpecker again busy feeding and taking away mouthfuls of fat.
Plenty of bees and insects about during this warm spell. Still red damselfly activity in the pond. Surprised at the lack of butterflies, only the speckled wood as a regular visitor.
On my last walk around the garden at 11pm I saw and photographed the pair of hedgehogs on the back lawn.
