Sunday 3rd June 2018

Hot and sunny all day and into the evening.
Most of the day in town. This morning I enjoyed the displays of buses and coaches from yesteryear. Thames Valley Buses staged this open day which featured the trolley busses from the Corporation fleet, coaches and buses from the Thames Valley fleet that serviced outlying villages, buses also from the 20s - 90s era. Trips also were in operation all day. A fantastic show.
A contrast to the food and drink festival held at the Forbury. Met Lorna there this afternoon but left just as soon as we had arrived. What an embarrassment to food and drink, dreadful event.
Good result with the moth trap last night. No bees and lots of moths including a small emerald. Hopefully the bees have now moved on?
Lots of ladybird larvae still, but the highlight today was a demoiselle broad winged damselfly.
