Very warm and sunny all day.
Spent day in the garden clearing an area around the wildflower patch to plant a lavender hedge. Used the old English lavender variety bought from Henry Street. Should be well established for next year.
Was a good day for garden wildlife. A cinnabar moth appeared on the pineapple plant, some moths in the trap, damselflies laying eggs in the pond. Very small chasers in a lavender shrub. The male great spotted woodpecker still taking away mouthfuls of fat. Can't believe the number of ladybird larvae about this year.
