Friday 3rd August 2018
Very hot and sunny day.
Security project now finished. One insurance is agreed I can hopefully start replacing stolen items. Camera system will sadly take some time to replace. With cameras and cables destroyed it means starting again.
Wildlife excitement today was seeing an adult hedgehog early this morning taking mouthfuls of grass to a point under the decking. Arranging hibernation or nesting material, I wonder?
The young hedgehog was out again last night and I have just photographed him now at the water bowl. Interestingly the trail cameras did not pick out any hedgehogs last night.
Saw a fair few red tailed bees dead on the lawn today, coincides with no movement under the decking or activity in the moth trap. Still much to learn about bee behaviour.
