Saturday 11th August 2018
Warm and mostly sunny with showers late afternoon into the evening.
Another day in the garden, lawns cut, mostly fallen leaves.
Where did all the birds suddenly appear from today. Hardly seen a bird in the garden during this heatwave so good to see them returning today. At one point there were 5 long tailed tits on the fat stick feeder. Goldfinches, sparrows, blue and great tits, parakeet, doves, blackbirds, dunnocks and pigeons all made an appearance.
The most exciting news however was seeing a frog in the pond. The first in nearly four years. Fingers crossed for next Spring now.
