Monday 6th April 2015

A cracking day. Once the mist and frost had cleared the day turned out to be very warm. Temp' reaching a high of 21c this afternoon. Warmest day so far this year?
Really enjoyed the dawn walk at Fobney with me old mate Doug. Always good to catch up and for me today learn more about the Garganel taking centre stage at Fobney at the moment. This glorious duck has created a lot of interest with a number of bird watchers who have descended on Fobney like never before.
Before the mist lifted the scenery was dramatic giving me the opportunity to capture a few good photographs. A brilliant morning.
Rest of the day spent on Project 2015 moving more timber over to the new store. Was also pleasing to sit and admire what is going on around me on such a gloriously sunny day. A Tortoisshell, two Peacocks and three Brimstone Butterflies were spotted in the back garden. A question mark however on the Brimstones. Three flying together, were yellow but unable to see close up.
An almost empty dustbin used for storing bird food was now more maggots than bird food. Within two minutes of placing bin on the woodstack a Robin was tucking in. Have set up the trail camera tonight to see if anything else is interested in this luxury food?
