Tuesday 14th August 2018

A very warm and sunny day.
Spent the day clearing and weeding bottom end of the garden. Not much to do actually as weeds don't grow in 30c!
Unusual but very little to show from the trail camera last night. One fox and one hedgehog. Hope baby hog is ok.
A good turnout tonight at the organised bat walk at Fobney. Four species seen/heard, a quarter of the UK's bat specie so not a bad result. Result included Noctules, Serotine, Pipistrelles and Daubenton's.

Image 1 & 2 - These bones discovered under the decking have been identified as a fox cub.
"           3 - Sad to wake up to this, a sparrow has clearly flown into the glazed door.
"           4 - A plume moth ready for take off.
"           5 - A moth from the trap last night.
"           6 - Autumn beckons, first of the spiders emerging from the ivy hedge.
"           7 - Ladybird larva on an ivy leaf.
     "           8 - This evening.
     "           9 - Rotten deck boards removed.
     "         10 - Rotten deck boards replaced.
     "         11 - This morning.
