Saturday 7th April 2012
A pretty good day, warmish with temp' reaching 14c mid-day.
Mum was with us for the day so not much to report as my role today was to entertain Mum while Lorna cooked! At 92 Mum is remarkable, unable to walk any distance these days but is still able to do the Daily Mail Crossword each day!
News on Beth is rather incredible. As home is minutes away from the Hospital they allowed her out for the day having to return again this evening. However, within minutes of leaving the hospital this morning they were involved in an accident. A car drove into them while stationary at traffic lights. Offending car reversed and drove away, Wendy was able to see the number plate so Police are now on the case.
Hospital checked them both over and thankfully no injuries. Beth very lucky as still in a very vulnerable state.

Your mystery plant is "Lords & ladies" Pump. A very common wild, poisonous plant (Arum meaning climber or poison, maticulatum meaning speckled (look at the splodges on the leaves))that grows in hedges and woods all over the place.
ReplyDeleteYou might like to know that folklore suggests that adders get their venom from eating this plant's red berries.
