Saturday 15th June 2013

Blustery, showery, sunny. Very April(ish).
Thanks to Steve & Cath who introduced us to Farmoor Nature Reserve managed by Thames Water. An amazing amount of wildlife along with the wild flower colours now at their best in the meadows. In the three hours today we saw Swifts, House Martins, Barn Owl, Grebe, Cormorant, Egret, Heron, Teal, Reed Bunting and Cuckoo. This will be on my 'to visit again' list for sure.
Finished the day at a 17th Century Inn enjoying a couple of pints of 1843 and meal of smoked kipper fish cakes.
Brilliant day.
All pictures were taken at Farmoor.
