After very heavy overnight rain it was a much improved day with sun most of the day.
Not the day I was expecting, bathroom cabinate came adrift from the wall over Christmas but I had not expected half a ton of plaster had also given up after 115 years. Took a lot longer to sort out but all ok now but not without a fair amount of swearing.
Downstairs wc also packed up so a phone call to a plumber is first on the agenda tomorrow. Good start to 2016 this.
Amazing day for birds in the garden today. Good to see the chaffinches returning along with bundles of goldfinches and starlings. A wren was also darting about, the great spotted and three jays were busy on the monkey nuts as were the two squirrels.
Still puzzled about who/what is eating the hedgehog food. Two food bowls now missing completely, another one emptied and no sign of movement from the trail cameras. May have to stake out one night?
Hopefully some photographs tomorrow.
