Saturday 5th August 2017

What a day for weather fluctuations. Lovely morning and part of the afternoon then all h*ll let loose. Thunder, gale force winds, hailstones and heavy rain. This lasted well into the evening.
Very localised, we were at an outdoor party in Woodcote.
Despite the weather conditions we enjoyed Margaret and Peter's golden wedding anniversary party. With a large marque to accommodate 80 guests in their back garden it meant we all stayed dry.
Due to the party it meant not much in the way of wildlife was recorded. Did see yet another southern hawker emerging this morning. Still hanging there in the evening, dripping wet, just hope it recovers in tomorrow's weather when sun is forecast.
