Warm but a little overcast.
Ideal day to explore again the landscape of Dungeness. Nothing can prepare you for this landscape. Mile after mile of shingle, wild, desolate, weird and mad.
Spent the morning at the RSPB nature reserve which is a haven for an outstanding array of wildlife. Enjoyed the two mile circular trail stopping at all of the hides. Each hide has a magnificent view in itself without the bonus of wildlife.
After a good lunch and a pint at The Britannia I set off on a walk along part of the Dungeness coast. Just shingle and sea but it works for me.
The few shacks that are homes all have their own personality, for instance the artist with a border of paint brushes outside his front door, the retired fisherman with his fishing boat
