Cold, wet, windy and wetter still. What a contrast to yesterday.
Decided enough was enough, birthday celebrations cancelled, decided to count our losses and come home.
That was easier said than done. A one and a half hour trip home took nearly six hours. Two diversions due to accidents with all traffic therefore trying to find space in side roads. Made the slow M25 appear fast.
Arrived home eventually late afternoon, fell asleep then woke up wondering at first why I was back home!?
