Tuesday 18th September 2018.
Warm, sunny and very windy.
Wallflowers planted, alpine house tidied for the winter and preparations made for over wintering the hydrangea cuttings.
An insect that confused me lunchtime that flew on to a sunflower stem was confirmed as a mating pair of ivy bees. Many thanks a Boyo for the info'.
Another day of strong bee activity but not so many butterflies today.
Trail camera picked out just the one fox and an adult hedgehog with a young. Once back from holiday I will contact my neighbor with a view to scouring their garden for the hedgehogs hide out. The adults and young are still using the tunnel under the fence.
