Tuesday 13th January 2015

After heavy overnight rain the day started off pretty good, sunny and mild. By lunchtime we had experienced hail, lightening, thunder, heavy rain and breezy. Mid afternoon it was a blue sky and sun again. Snow is forecast for tonight however.
Day spent tidying up from yesterday. Oak boards and trap door now fixed in place. Already seeing the benefit of this soft/hard water system.
                 Good to see the male/female Great Spotted in the garden again. Jays very busy, have at least two permanently in the Robinia Tree. Sparrowhawk was a scream today, appearing to fall asleep for ten minutes.
Interesting to see two Starlings roosting tonight in the same box.
