Sunday 2nd July 2017

A beautiful day. Very warm and sunny all day.
A good day for relaxing in the garden so why did I choose to work in the alpine house with a temp' of 42c? Once I decide to do a job nothing stops me. Replaced six plants that were taking over the space with less intrusive alpine plants.
The six original are now in larger pots and placed outside in the sensory garden adj ascent to the alpine house.
Did relax this afternoon overlooking the pond for any dragonfly activity.

Nothing in the pond but a brown female hawker flew into the conservatory this morning, conveniently landed on the window board making for a good photograph.
Nothing in the moth trap but one very sadly caught up in a cobweb. One I had not seen before as well.
Spotted a critter on the garden outside lamp this afternoon, easy to spot against black.
An introduction tonight about tracker. Tracker is a rock dove fitted with a tracking device on one leg and a numbered ring on tother leg.
Tracker has been with us for three weeks now, leaves at 8pm prompt each night flying west then returns at 7am each morning.
Am in touch with a local pigeon racer so watch this space for further news.
