Wednesday 12th February 2014

Another delightful day, dull, breezy with a bonus of a heavy storm this afternoon with gale force winds. Chimney Stacks falling from roofs, trees down and of course fresh flooding.
Afternoon rainfall recorded 24mm.
Average outdoor temp' 6c.
Gale force wind speed.
Attended Sue's funeral this afternoon. Sue, a close neighbour had been unwell for some years but died so peacefully in her sleep of a heart attack 10 days ago.
It was an honour to be asked in helping Stewart (Son) and other close neighbs' get to the funeral. RIP Sue, you are at peace now and out of pain.
Enjoyed a meal out with Lulu and Clive tonight. Not the best night to be out with flooded roads in the Minley area. Just hope now that is the last of the rain for a while, can only hope.
Paul (decorator) did another good nights work, hopefully he can finish during the time we are away.
Heard some really bad news tonight, the large Ash Tree in the back neighbours
S' garden is being felled tomorrow. Glad I will not be home to watch the killing.
