Wednesday 12th November 2014

After early morning rain the rest of the day turned out good. Sunny and mild for this time of year.
A good morning driving over Nidderdale to Wath, a little hamlet close to Pateley Bridge. Stopped here for lunch washed down with a good pint of Black Sheep.
Afternoon spent at the Coldstones Cut just outside Pateley Bridge. This dramatic sculpture was created to illustrate the connection between the landscape and a quarry. The panoramic view over Nidderdale from the viewing platform was breathtaking. Also visited a lime kiln close to the quarry.
What a fantastic two weeks we have enjoyed on the North Yorkshire Moor and the Yorkshire Dales. So lucky with weather. Home tomorrow, back to my garden wildlife and hundreds of photographs to sort.
Will post a few photographs of this holiday sometime over the weekend.
