Summer at last, a delightful day, hot and sunny all day.
Today was as much about doing as little as possible.
Enjoyed the sound of swifts for much of the day into late evening. Butterflies were out with sightings of a peacock, large and small whites, gatekeeper and a speckled wood. Sadly no photographs.
Spotted a green chafer on a yellow rose, beautiful in the sunlight. Missed the emergence of a dragonfly from the pond but spotted the empty nymph.
Enjoyed a bbq tonight staying out until late having created a wood fire when the evening became cooler.
