Saturday 9th July 2016

A warm and sunny day with a light breeze most of the day.
Most of the day spent cleaning and oiling another four chairs and table, just four more chairs to treat now.
Swifts about most of the day and so close to the box, they must nest next year surely?
Six flying about, managed one rather blurred photograph, a record at least.
One moth in the trap last night and one on the table. The table is next to an outdoor light I have on for four hours each night which is why I think so many use the table.
An unusual looking minute insect landed on my arm this afternoon, vivid orange. One to look up later.
Pond dipping an hour ago and still more nymphs on the weed, good news but will be pleased when I see a dragonfly emerge. Nothing this year as yet.
Pictures - 1 & 2 - Moths.

"                5 - Bluetit on a coconut filled with fat.

      "                8 - Treating chairs and table.
